From regional green waste, climate-neutral biogas is produced here. This not only generates electricity and heat but is also directly fed into the natural gas grid. Each year, around 1,600 households are supplied with renewable energy, making a significant contribution to the regional circular economy and CO₂ reduction.

During an extensive tour, Mr. Markus Regez, Managing Director of Green Power Aarau AG, guided us through the facility. With impressive expertise and visible passion, he explained the complex processes – from the fermentation of organic waste to the upgrading and injection of biomethane into the grid.

A special highlight for us was seeing our own measurement device in action: In the upgrading facility, the gasQS^™ static continuously monitors the methane concentration. This precise measurement ensures that the biomethane meets strict quality requirements before it is fed into the grid.
