After a 13-month test phase at the NMI (including a 12-month long-term test), we received a test report with excellent results – and of course the hard-earned OIML R140 certification!
The two gas quality measuring devices gasQS™ static and gasQS™ flonic have been in use worldwide in large numbers for several years already. Areas of application for our gasQS™ technology include biogas plants, gas engines (LNG ships and power plants), gas network distribution systems, hydrogen feed-in, P2G/methanation plants, large-scale burners and many more. Our customers particularly appreciate the high and long-term stable measurement accuracy without recalibration and use of test gases, i.e. free of any operating costs.
With the increasing fluctuation in gas quality worldwide (especially with regard to calorific value) caused by the increased feed-in of biogas, hydrogen and LNG into the natural gas network, the demand for gas quality measuring devices is increasing sharply. Suitable gas chromatographs are often far too expensive to purchase and operate for many applications.
In July 2023, after a 13-month test phase at the NMI (including a 12-month long-term test), we received a test report with excellent results.
This certification enables gas network operators and gas energy companies can use our gasQS™ flonic for gas energy billing based on the determination of calorific value, density and compressibility factors. Additionally, the OIML-certified gasQS™ flonic has been upgraded and now determines the hydrogen content in any natural gas mixture.
The first gasQS™ flonics have already been purchased for this purpose and are on their way to their place of use... we're confident that many more will follow their example.
Mems AG would like to thank all employees who have made this quantum leap with our patented gasQS™ technology possible!
